Apple Galette des Rois – Galette des rois aux pommesThe Galette des Rois, a traditional cake indispensable for celebrating the New Year in France during January, originates from the Epiphany holiday. This cake features flaky puff pastry filled with rich almond cream, and hidden inside is a small porcelain figurine known as a fève. The person who finds the fève in their slice is crowned “king” or “queen” for the day and is said to be blessed with good fortune for the year.
This time, we’re introducing a variation that uses seasonal apples🍎instead of the classic almond cream. The combination of flaky pastry and juicy apple filling makes for a perfectly balanced and delightful treat!
